Facial that infuses antioxidants back into your skin popular in winter

Facial that infuses antioxidants back into your skin popular in winter CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A newer procedure for your face that moisturizes with the help of water is more popular than ever this time of year.

It is called a hydrafacial and many are turning to it as a lunchtime soother to dry skin and puffy eyes this time of year. It's three steps in about 30 minutes that some say can give you the best skin of your life.

Local 12 stopped by to meet the team at Somi Javaid MD & Associates. They perform these hydrafacials in their medical spa. They are a women's health office that specializes in sexual health for women, but they say when you start feeling good inside, many people want to improve the outside too.

The hydrafacial involves a cleansing peel, an extraction and hydration and then antioxidants are infused back into your skin to give you back your glow.

A lot of people doing this as a lunch-hour facial, and you can go back to work with no downtime. It costs about $199 and is not a covered benefit with most medical insurance plans.
