Marappanapalya ward JD(S) corporation in Mahalakshmi Layout constituency has openly supported BJP candidate Gopalaiah. JD(S) corporator Mahadev said he along with Mahalakshmi Layout JD(S) president Jayaram and party office-bearers will work for Gopalaiah. He accused JD(S) leadership of sidelining him. Mahadev further added that it was Gopalaiah who had turned Mahalakshmi Layout into JD(S) stronghold. He said JD(S) candidate Girish Nashi is a nonentity and he doesn't know much about him and criticized party leaders for not consulting him while announcing Girish Nashi's candidature.
