Man charged after allegedly lighting bushfire to protect cannabis crop | ABC News A man charged with lighting a fire that sparked a major blaze in northern New South Wales has been denied bail.

Police allege he lit the fire to protect a cannabis crop.

The allegation has left locals and firefighters fuming as they continue to face bushfires across a huge area.
