Manchester United first-team scout Sandro Orlandelli believes Jose Mourinho did not have enough time at Old Trafford to properly succeed. Mourinho was sacked by the club 11 months ago following a below-par and vitriolic start to this third season in charge. The Portuguese became angry during his spell at the lack of conviction United had in the transfer market with key targets falling through their fingers. Since Mourinho’s exit United have shaken up their recruitment model with the club now eyeing younger, hungrier players for the future. One of the remaining scouts in the set-up is Orlandelli, who has held his post since July 2016.The Brazilian attended the World Scouting Congress this week and, surprisingly, spoke openly about the club.
