The Supreme Court today announced its verdict on review petitions against its 2018 order on the Sabarimala temple case and referred the case to a larger, seven-judge bench. The earlier verdict allowing women of all ages to the Sabarimala temple is still operational. A five-judge constitution bench headed by outgoing Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi had reserved its decision in February after hearing various petitioners, including those seeking re-consideration of the verdict.
