Sharing a quick video with Old and New friends. Living a quick moment of my favorite past times. I do apologize on the quality of the video as this was filmed some time ago (pre-2010).
This was a race against another 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra. Both cars had very little to moderate modifications which easily produced around 420 RWHP. Moderate modifications was considered having a smaller Upper Pully (2.8"), Air Intake, Mid Pipe, Exhaust, Tune and on cheap California 91 Octane Fuel. You could drive the to car to the drag strip, in mountainous switch back roads, cruise around the boulevard before arrived to the beach or just sit idle in SoCal Traffic.
One the most memorable times of my life was being able to Drag Race. This fun hobby or sport seemed to welcome any type of Manufacture, Drivetrain (FWD, RWD, 4WD, and, AWD), Engines (Rotary, 4 Banger, V6, V8, Electric, Diesel, and Jet Engines), and even them (Motorcycles). They never seemed to care what type of vehicle you "brung". Everyone that raced seemed to be chasing time for some reason or another.

Personally for me, Drag Racing offered some great lessons. From pushing myself to try and try again until it was perfected or learn difficult lessons that we cannot truly ever be perfect. To learning and understanding that anyone with some ambition could do it and do it well.
A special thanks to the folks at LACR who we got to see on a regular basis! Every Wednesday, Friday, and sometimes on Saturday / Sunday depending on the current (LACR RIP 2007). At last to all the great folks that I got to personally know (Juan Velasquez, Pat Kenney, Greg Brown, Jay Walker, Jay Wilbur, John Devinshire, Dan Hale, and so many more).
Currently playing around with Dividend Earnings / Investments. I really wish I tried this sooner!
