This is the moment firefighters tackle an enormous python hiding in the ceiling of a kitchen.
The incident was filmed in the western Malaysian state of Johor and videos were shared on Facebook by the local group ‘Community Roda Johor (CRJ)’ where they have been viewed more than 200,000 times.
In the heart-stopping clip, the huge reticulated python slowly comes down from the roof.
As its body stretches out, its full size becomes apparent as it dwarfs the firemen trying to remove it.
The fearsome creature also doesn’t seem to happy about being taken from its resting place and repeatedly tries to attack the pole trapping it.
It is thought the snake was seeking shelter from the harsh weather conditions.
The unnamed man called the local authorities and firefighters on the scene eventually managed to remove the huge reptile from his home.
Firefighters first located the python’s head before managing to pull its body from the ceiling light fixture and beams it had wrapped itself around.
It is unclear what the local authorities did with the reticulated python after removing it from the man’s home.
The clip comes just days after a snake was snapped attempting to eat a leopard in a dramatic fight to the death.
