FOUR MAN CREW LUCKS OUT AND COMES FIRST IN ARC The First Boat which participated in this year’s ARC has arrived. The Four crew catamaran
“Hallucine” made the 2,700 nautical mile Atlantic crossing in just 11 days. The “Allegra” a much
larger boat was well ahead of the Hallucine but had to make an emergency stop and fell out of the
race.
The crew of four made it to St. Lucia in 11 days and according to them, they uncounted smooth
sailing from start to finish. They were met by officials of the St. Lucia Tourism Authority, the Events
Company of St. Lucia, the Ministry of Tourism and the Rodney Bay Marina.
Yves Pelisson, crewmember of the Hallucine was most fluent in English among the four French
Nationals and recounted their experience.
All of the ARC Plus boats are in, and the ARC participants are now expected to begin trickling in over
the next few days
