Insect infestation in North West forces families to vacate their homes The North West health department's Emergency Medical Services have been deployed to Tlapeng village, outside Mahikeng, to investigate an outbreak of beetle known by locals as "khukhwane ya molelo". Residents alerted authorities after noticing huge amounts of these insects inside their homes. They say the insects secrete a liquid substance that burns the skin and leaves it with boils. Sentleeng Lehihi visited the area.
