Pictures uploaded onto Facebook show her mother’s arms badly bruised, with the skin sliced open. She said her mother was at home when the group stormed in. Taking to Facebook Ms Parry said: “I don’t care if this is in writing for the world to see. “When I find out what woman knocked on my 70-year-old mum’s door tonight and barged their way in, tied her up and sat on her chest smothering her face for a f****** hour while two men ransacked her home with a knife threatening to kill her dogs if she didn’t give them money. “Omg believe I am coming for you b****.” The post has been shared 24,000 times. It also triggered an array of comments. One commenter said: “Omg I feel sick looking at these pictures of your Mum. Pure evil horrible b*stards I hope they are found and get what they deserve. I hope you’re Mum is going to be ok, my heart goes out to her.” Another added: “So sorry this happened, hope she’ll be ok in time.” A third said: “This is heartbreaking!!! Hope u find who it was!!!!”  A fourth commented: “This is terrible where did this happen hope your mum is ok xx” Another added: “So sorry your mum experienced this I wish her a speedy recovery and hope to god justice is served. Sending you and your mum lots of hugs xox.” Other images she posted showed the shocking amount of mess the burglars left behind. One - which appears to be her mother’s ransacked living room - shows an armchair shoved onto its side, paintings on the floor and drawers pulled from a large wooden cabinet.  Another shows a heap of chairs, drawers and an ironing board piled high in the centre of another room. Express.co.uk has contacted Humberside Police for a statement. The shocking news comes as the number burglaries tend to rise at Christmas. In the darker months, Britons become more at risk of being targeted by burglars, an expert has revealed. However, there are some tips they can follow to protect their property. Izzy Schulman, director at Keys4U, revealed the top five ways to protect your home this year. He said: “Intruders are finding new ways of breaking in, with reported cases of criminals using blowtorches to simply melt locks off doors, windows and sheds. “While it’s difficult to completely prepare for such extreme attempts, make sure to replace any outdated home locks and consider fitting wood or steel composite doors which won’t melt away.”  Another tip is to mark your belongings. He explained: “Personalised items are a nightmare for burglars. Customised engravings and labels on property make it harder for

burglary
