Animal Tissues: Epithelial, Connective, Muscular & Nerve Tissue | Biology Olympiad Dr. Manishika Jain in this lecture explains Animal Tissues: Epithelial, Connective, Muscular & Nerve Tissue

Simple squamous epithelium - thin and flat and form a delicate lining –. The oesophagus and the lining of the mouthcells, lining blood vessels or lung alveoli
Stratified squamous epithelium – arranged in patterns - in many layers to prevent wear and tear (skin)
Columnar Tall epithelial cells - Where absorption and secretion occur, as in the inner lining of the intestine - facilitates movement across the epithelial barrier.
Ciliated columnar epithelium: Epithelial cell with cilia – in respiratory tract - These cilia can move, and their movement pushes the mucus forward to clear it
Cuboidal epithelium – lining of kidney tubules and salivary glands (mechanical support)
Glandular epithelium – additional specialization , tissue folds inward, and a multicellular gland is formed
