How have faculty experiences with online education changed over time?

How have faculty experiences with online education changed over time? Online courses are typical in higher education settings. We investigated how faculty experiences with online education have changed over time. This video reports on the analysis of 5 years of the Survey of Faculty Attitudes on Technology conducted by Inside Higher Ed. We found that although there are small changes, the majority of faculty have not taught online or blended courses and there were no significant changes over the 5 years of the survey. Studying this can help us understand some of the challenges that faculty face as online education grows, and how institutions can help faculty become more comfortable with online and blended education.
