'Imus in the Morning' Host Don Imus Broadcasts Show Live from Tennis' US Open in Queens (1998) In September 1998, radio and television talk show host Don Imus broadcasts his "Imus in the Morning" show live from tennis' US Open tennis tournament in the Flushing Meadows section of the New York City borough of Queens, from the facility now named the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. In these two segments from the show, Imus talks about and with tennis personalities Patrick McEnroe and Bud Collins. Charles McCord, news anchor for the New York City-based Imus in the Morning, also appears. Imus died on December 27, 2019, at age 79.
