Should You Pick A Niche In 2020? (SMMA|Digital Marketing)

Despite what everyone else is saying, this is what I believe you should do at the VERY beginning of your SMMA journey.

Now for that one guy in the comments, yes people have killed it by sticking to one niche from the very start, I know that. But I'm speaking from my own personal experience here:

I personally say you should NOT commit to one niche when you are BRAND brand new. The only time you should be committing to anything in business is when you've thoroughly tested a few of hypothesise and found something that truly works time and time again. THEN you niche down and triple down on your one thing.

If you take a look at the majority of the "Gurus" out there... Really listen closely to how they started... You'll often find them saying that they tried this thing and that thing, until something started working for them and then they doubled down on that thing until they hit a "cap" / "ceiling" in their business. - That's when they noticed that they couldn't scale any further due to messy operations, crazy amounts of management, stress and/or operational jams.

That's when they realised that;

1. they need to operate in just one niche and...

2. in order to scale to multi 6 and 7 figures they need to offer only one service too (for replicability purposes)

Here's what I'm suggesting, just get your head down, test a few niches at a time the SMART way, get to $10k/month as quickly as possible and THEN you can start worrying about systemising your business and niching down. - And at that point you'll have the financial resources to do pretty much anything you please such as hiring full time team members etc.

Think about it, who really cares what niche you're in when you've got zero clients, you're broke and have zero experience?...
