eBay Junk? Sega Genesis that works “sometimes” - Easy fix?

I bought this Sega Genesis model 2 off eBay. The listing said it sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I believe it may be a dirty cartridge port or a bad joint on the power jack. Can I fix it?
