1. What’s the difference between a life coach, entrepreneur coach and executive coach?
A study done by Stanford suggests that a majority of it is the same. An entrepreneur coach works usually with small businesses and leaders who consider themselves and entrepreneur rather than an executive. An executive coach works mainly with leaders who work in the corporate world (larger corporations). A life coach will work with any of the above and focus more on the person than the position.
Personally, I consider myself an executive coach and entrepreneur coach.
2. Is an executive coach an advisor, consultant or mentor?
Real coaches help their clients think and act more efficiently and resourcefully, resulting in personal growth and achievement.
3. Why does coaching cost so much?
It doesn’t if you consider the return on investment. Coaching is like teaching someone to fish rather than giving that person fish for a meal. When you teach someone to fish, that person can have many meals. The same goes for coaching. What you will learn will help you in your entire life.
4. Where do you start with a coach?
I begin with a discovery call so we can get to know each other. I’ll want to hear about your goals, needs, and concerns. During this meeting, we will begin to design a list of goals and a game plan to reach these goals.
5. How do the coaching sessions work?
Coaching is either done in person or over the phone. Most executives and/or entrepreneurs are coached for approximately two to four hours a month. Calls are usually structured by starting with the week that just ended, transitioning to upcoming goals and ending with troubleshooting issues.
6. Can I hire you for one of my staff members instead of me?
Yes, as long as the staff member is an executive, manager or manager in training. I am most effective working with marketing personnel.
