AGT GRAND FINALISTS:
The Silhouettes
The newest AGT judge was moved to tears after watching the Silhouettes, a dance group who were finalists on America's Got Talent in 2011. The story they told about how life is better when you have a dog in it was extremely emotion for Alesha, who said she couldn't stop thinking about her childhood pet, and the pets she has now. "I was simply bowled over, inspired ... and I want to see more," she said before hitting her golden buzzer.
V. Unbeatable
Last September, this dance crew was so close to taking home the America's Got Talent title. Now, they are once again on their way to coming out on top after executing a flawless routine for the first round of Champions. "When you didn't win AGT, the disappointment you had, we felt like a knife going into our heart," Howie said when the performance was over. "But disappointment only lasts a moment. This is a moment, this is the moment you have been waiting for. Just sit there, and think about this moment." And with that, Howie sat on the golden buzzer.
Boogie Storm
Simon insisted that Howie use his golden buzzer on the dance group Boogie Storm. When Howie disagreed though, Simon took matters into his own hands and pressed the golden buzzer anyway. While we're not sure if there are rules that cover this unusual situation, for now, we're going to go ahead and say this was Simon's pick.
Angelina Jordan
Everyone brought their A-game to the premiere of Champions, but Angelina ended up outshining them all. The 13-year-old singer, who won Norway's Got Talent season 6 when she was only seven, performed a gorgeous rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." Heidi loved the performance so much that she gave the young vocalist the golden buzzer without hesitation.
Duo Transcend
Another amazing duo with acrobatic skills. This pair appeared on AGT Season 13 with their trapeze act. Their death-defying performance on Champions (in which they were blindfolded) earned them the superfans’ vote.
Alexa Lauenburger
This 11-year-old dog trainer won Germany’s Got Talent and wowed the AGT: Champions audience with her amazing act. The judges voted to send Alexa through to the semifinals.
Hans
This Season 13 AGT contestant plays the accordion, sings, and just generally puts on a fun show. Simon Cowell buzzed his Champions act, but Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel liked him enough to send him through to the semifinals in the Judges’ Choice. This caused some controversy among fans.
Sandou Trio Russian Bar
After an embarrassing elimination in AGT Season 6, this act returned to prove themselves on Champions. They went above and beyond with a nail-biting performance. The superfans voted them through to the semifinals.
Tyler Butler-Figueroa
This young violinist was a finalist on Season 14 of AGT. He returned with another joyful performance for Champions. Tyler was voted through to the semifinals by the superfans.
Marcelito Pomoy
This winner of Pilipinas Got Talent wowed the AGT: Champions audience by singing in both male and female voices. Many fans believed he should have received the Golden Buzzer, but at least he got through on the superfans’ vote. Will he make it to the finals?
