GENOMICS:
We are now able to sequence the genome of a newborn in intensive care where every minute counts ( With recent AI methods, and increased processing power, the cost of sequencing a human genome declines faster than Moore's law ( and sequencing time significantly accelerates (an entire genome is now decoded in about 16 hours, 50 times faster than a year ago). MEDICAL IMAGERY and treatment planning:
Cancer scans that once took 45 minutes can now be done in 45 seconds ( A patient from a remote village can now make the long trek to the nearest clinic just once to get diagnostic tests and treatment. The new systems combine CT imaging, and AI processing to assist in treatment planning. Read more in the comment section
