Parliament brushes aside disruptions to pay respect to bushfire victims Parliament has brushed aside disruptions to dedicate its first sitting day to victims of the bushfire crisis.

The House of Representatives put forward condolence motions that were led by Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Tuesday afternoon.

Opposition leader Anthony Albanese also spoke and acknowledged the thousands of Australians who lost their homes to the crisis and to the 33 victims who lost their lives.
