Selecting the leather type and how to leather dye tutorial

You will find how to select your leather between chrome tan leather and vegetable tan leather.
You will find also how to apply leather #dye in 2 simple way.

The tools I use in this video :
Leather :
Vegetable tan leather you see in the vidéo :
Oak-Leaf Lightweight Veg-Tan Saddle Skirting 2 to 3 oz. (0.8 to 1.2 mm)
bought on Tandy leather but currently out of stock.
Chrome tan leather :
HORWEEN CHROMEXCEL (SHF) - DARK BROWN - 1.0/1.2mm (3.0/3.5oz)


Dye :
Fiebings leather dye
Wool dauber

Pro tip!:
Carefull, if you need to stamp your leather, and apply water, you will have to do it before dyeing your leather.
Or it will leave a mark if you apply water on the dyed leather.

Take a well sealed box to keep the dye and save it for later. Never turn this box upside down.
When you deep dye, the longer you dive it, the darker will be the color, but carefull, it will slightly stiff the leather.
