Coronavirus 'is an issue across the world, but somehow it's always Trump's fault'

Coronavirus 'is an issue across the world, but somehow it's always Trump's fault' The "Trump derangement syndrome" is back again on show, this time within "swathes" of American media who are blaming US President Donald Trump for the coronavirus, according to Sky News host Paul Murray.

"The Trump derangement syndrome that has been sitting, not so dormant, in huge swathes of the American media, is now on full display," Mr Murray said.

"When the entire world is being affected by something that started in China, how can anyone turn around and say that it's Trump fault".

President Trump recently defended his handling of the virus and accused the Democrats of politicising the crisis.

The global risk of the virus is now at the highest possible level and the World Health Organisation announced it has spread to more than 50 countries, infecting more than 80,000 people and killed 2,800.

Last week, a man in his 50s from Seattle became the first US victim of the virus.

"The media in the United States love panic stories about health," Mr Murray said.
