Coronavirus outbreak: 43 ‘domestic’ cases confirmed in U.S., 4 new deaths reported U.S. Vice President Mike Pence said Monday that there are currently 43 domestic cases of COVID-19 in the U.S., adding that four new deaths have been reported in the country bringing the total number of deaths to six.

Pence said new screening procedures in Italy and South Korea would be implemented in the next 12 hours and that the Trump administration would defer to medical experts on whether to introduce any new travel restrictions with regard to the novel coronavirus.

Pence also said that the risk to Americans within the U.S. remains low and that there are no limitations on travel within the country.
