First dive (Test) for R|V Alevin, NCC-1701.1, planetary probe for the R|V Lake Char First test dive for R/V Alevin (NCC-1701.1) our new ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle)/under water drone at Westwood High School pool, Ishpeming, MI.
We can title this dive: Search for Precious, a new Lord of the ring.

This ROV will be an organic, operational asset for the R/V Lake Char to conduct visual surveys of habitat in Lake Superior, equipment deployment/recovery, and vessel hull inspections.

This vehicle is Geneinno's T1 (formerly known as Titan) which has an operational depth of 150 m and operational duration of 4 hours. The R/V Alevin also has a robotic arm and will soon be fitted with Class 3 lasers for measurement of targets in the camera field.
