The paramedic said he was “disappointed and slightly angry” when he went back to the ambulance. He said: “The last thing I expect to find when I return to my ambulance after treating an individual, is to find my personal belongings have been stolen from my ambulance. “Disappointed and slightly angry doesn’t even cover it. #youwillbecaught.” Mr Williams uses Twitter to provide his followers with an insight into his working life in Coventry. He has described himself as “passionate about providing the best possible patient care with no exceptions!” There was an immediate outpour of support for Mr Williams on social media following his ordeal. Hannah Ballard wrote: “Fuming - this is just awful. “One day that thief will need your help or their friends or family will. “Let’s hope they are caught and punished.”   Norman Weir said: “So absolutely despicable, I do hope that the culprits are caught and shamed.” Alex Totney tweeted: “Lowest of the low - that’s truly disgusting. “So sorry to hear this and hope it’s all replaceable.” And Pip Harrison wrote: “Are there no depths they will not stoop to! “I, for one, admire you and your colleagues and the work you do for us. Thank you.”   Other paramedics also relayed similar experiences. Adam Alcock said: “Walked back to the truck with my crew mate and ops manager to find the side window on the sliding door smashed with a vodka bottle. “They took 2 personal kit bags. Bls bag, als bag, Entonox and tried to get into the safe.” And Matt Harrison tweeted: “The guy who did the exact same thing to me got caught. “He was identified by a local neighbour Bobby from the ambulance CCTV but nothing was done.   “My belongings were never recovered. I got off lightly. “He was already on remand for mugging and stealing from an old lady.” In 2018, a West Midlands ambulance was broken into, with the thief stealing personal belongings. The vehicle was parked in Northfield, Birmingham and caught the thief escaping on its external cameras. Trending  The ambulance service released the footage on Twitter at the time in an attempt to identify the person involved. And in 2019, a West Midlands Ambulance in Shrewsbury was targeted, with life-saving equipment being stolen. Endo-tracheal blades and laryngoscope handles - used to manage patients’ airways - were taken.
