The most recent episode of the NBC show spoofed the Netflix phenomenon but transformed it by throwing in a coronavirus twist, with singletons attempting to find their soulmate in the ‘quarantine edition’ special. One such contestant was Bellinina, a blatant nod to the iconic Gigi. ‘I met my husband! And I’ve never even seen him before!’ she exclaimed in the hilarious sketch. Reacting to the side-splitting scenes on Instagram, Gigi posted: ‘woke up to SNL impersonating me and I’m only going by Bellinina for the rest of the week, justsaying.’ (sic) Gigi recently sparked rumours that she’s married her Love Is Blind partner Damian in a cryptic Instagram post. The Netflix show’s final was a ride from start to finish but everything paled in comparison to the moment Gigi gazed into Damian’s eyes ready to become his wife as he said: ‘I do not.’ She legged it, fell down a hill and somehow ended up consoling her mother who told Gigi it was have been so much easier if she had been the one to say no. And after the couple shared photos of themselves in the same sunflower field, we immediately spat out our coffee and concluded: they’re back on. But it appears their relationship isn’t the only thing ‘back on’ – so is the ring on Gigi’s finger. Will these two get their happily-ever-after after all?
