Members of Parliament have to answer to the people and reveal who they support as PM, said former Bersih chairman and human rights lawyer Ambiga Sreenevasan. “It’s our elections, it’s our democracy, it’s our parliament. We have to show our reaction to what has taken place,” said Ambiga when met at a gathering protesting Muhyiddin Yassin’s appointment as Prime Minister in Dataran Merdeka tonight.
She urged every MP to reveal who they support as MP as they are accountable to the people.
Ambiga also said the number of people who have turned up at Dataran Merdeka shows that democracy is not dead.
