Better Than BASH: Scripting Kotlin

Sooner or later, every developer encounters "wild BASH script" on their journey. BASH is great for very small tasks, but more often than not, they evolve into something that's hard to maintain and even worse to debug.

Kotlin has excellent support for scripting tasks with the KScript project and upcoming native scripting support. The great advantage of using Kotlin BASH is that it's very concise, type safe, testable, and has huge library support. Java engineers will also feel right at home with the syntax. We'll look at some examples of using Kotlin for some real-world scripting and automation tasks.
