Run on update 1.1.02
Explanation: At the start of the scene, Stan is supposed to jump from his bed and into his slippers, but it had been found earlier that you can clip through the floor at a certain angle to get to the next scene faster. However, a new strat has been found: Bed Clip Acceleration, or BCA, in which when jumping out of bed, you jump out at just the right angle in order to clip Stan’s player model into the bed frame. In game, when Stan jumps, he is given a short burst of speed forward for when in air, and stops when he hits the ground. However, when clipped in this fashion into the bed frame, the game detects that Stan is still in the jumping animation, as well as detecting him still in the air, thereby giving him more and more speed, which ramps up dramatically the longer in this form. This is why we play on AD update 1.1.02, because after that update, it was patched out, limiting his jumping acceleration speed, runs on versions after this requiring clipping that was only possible on runs after such update, such as the famous floor clip. Once the speed is acquired, we move Stan very extremely slightly to the left (stan’s left), and this will unclip him, flying him through the bedroom, kitchen, and out the door into his car, bringing us right to the end of the game. You’re probably thinking, “If we gain more speed, we could finish it instantly!” It’s a good thought, but does not work, as if Stan were to gain too much speed, the game would crash as skipping the kitchen scene cause a fatal error in the game, not rendering the rest of the scene and flinging Stan into a black void. Go too slow, and Stan will not progress pass the kitchen, and instead will save barely any time from the floor clip. Players have trained themselves tirelessly to get the timing just right. It could be possible to save a few frames with a TAS to where we can monitor its speed more accurately, but only time will tell.
