Welcome Everyone! Today, in my altered book art journal, I started building my background using magazine scraps. Using magazine pages and scraps is an inexpensive and easy way to begin an art journal page. Using magazine scraps as your base layer, you can use any number of other art materials on top of them to begin to build your layers.
I also tried my hand at creating a stamp on a block of wood using modeling paste. I think it would have worked fine had I kept the modeling paste more evenly spread across the stencil. It failed, but I still have some useful pieces to use in my art - just not a stamp! Watch the video and you will see what happened.
