This Game Changer segment demonstrates various aspects of footwork that shooters should master in order to be more proficient and better prepared to shoot on-balance, controlled jump shots through various offensive movements with and without the ball.

Areas of Footwork Focus (every shooter should master):
1. Catch and Shoot – Without the ball

2. Step and Hop (also Toe Tap)
Ball Fake One Dribble (going the left as a right hand shooter)
Attack Dribble (going the left as a right hand shooter)
Catch, Sweep, Ball Fake One Dribble (going the left as a right hand shooter)

3. Heel, Ball, Ball
Ball Fake One Dribble (going to the right as a right hand shooter)
Attack Dribble (going to the right as a right hand shooter)
Off of Curl Screen
Catch and Sweep Dribble (going to the right as a right hand shooter)

4. Back Pedal, Catch and Shoot

5. Slide, Step, Hop (also Toe Tap)
Ball Fake Reset to the side
Slide Movement as other offensive player dribbles to your side or toward lane on your side
Slide, step, hop into shot with ball reversal.

6. Transition Footwork off of screen
Flare Cut
Pop Cut
Transition footwork for both cuts into…
Catch and Shoot (hurry to prep footwork to catch and step into shot)
Slide, Step and Hop

7. Full Court Jump Shot
Work on transitioning footwork so you are prepped to step into shooting rhythm as you transition off the break with the basketball of the dribble.
