The prediction of the wind isn't the most reliable section of the forecast, particularly during this time of year. But it was reasonably accurate yesterday with light, variable winds in the morning followed by a SE breeze in the afternoon.
So with the wind on our side and a decent swell running, the only other variable was the tide.
The morning session had an incoming tide, so there were some great waves from Temples down to Main Peak, and when it started draining throughout the afternoon the Racetrack started coughing up a barrel or two.
For all the different parts of the reef, shape and characteristics you'll see on different tides, they're all great waves.
