A major tragedy was averted as a private bus caught fire at a petrol bunk in Bengaluru's Madiwala last night. The fire mishap took place at Bharat petrol bunk in Madiwala at 11 pm last night. Fire broke out when the driver turned the ignition after filling diesel. 34 passengers who were inside the bus, immediately alighted, the firemen reached the spot and doused the fire. Bus completely gutted in the fire, the bus was heading to Coimbatore from Bengaluru. A short circuit suspected to have caused fire.
