This is the best chem ia advice and ia tips I can give: I've been to IB workshops where the workshop leader swore he could mark the IA based purely on the title.
Having marked a lot of ib chem IAs you often have a general sense of where research is in many areas. By reading the title you have an idea if this experiment is based and extended off current research, if there is one independent and dependent variable, if the topic is just right - not too hard not too easy, and if well written is a good sign they have followed this through to the write up of the whole report - so yes, getting the title, or really the topic correct will get you a 7.
It's so important to get the start right in order to smoothly get to a 7 that I'm compelled to only do free IA chem checks for topics now instead of offering an option to do the full chem ia draft check. I will do full IA draft checks for my tuition students, but students need to realise it is the correct IA topic reseach and development before an experiment is even done that will lead to a 7, not having someone check a final draft.
