Select Associate of the Year Winner 2019 - Thomas Evans

On Thomas's first day at McKenna, he arrived with shorts and was sent home. He did not want to lose the job opportunity, so he asked if he could go buy some pants and return. Thomas borrowed some money, bought the pants, and returned to work. The supervisor was surprised! Since that day, Thomas has stayed at McKenna. The supervisor didn't want to lose him to another company!

When Thomas started working at McKenna, he was homeless and didn't have any money. His coworkers picked up on this and the second shift staff started taking turns on feeding him, taking him lunch and clothes. Thomas is now renting a studio apartment! His co-workers threw him a housewarming party and gave him the necessities for his new place. Thomas was thrilled.

Thomas always does more than asked of him. The client and the entire staff at McKenna have grown to love him, due to his willingness to help and eagerness to learn and get the work done. No matter what his living situation was back then, he never showed the struggle. Thomas would make everyone feel special and likes to make people smile, even when he was not smiling inside.

When Thomas started at Select, he was homeless, starving, and wearing old tore-up shoes for work. Now, he is clean, well dressed, and one of the most reliable associates at McKenna Due to his resilience and hard work, Thomas is now a full-time employee at McKenna! Thomas continues to show us all why we do what we do!
