(This was originally posted to the Discord communities on October 4th, I didn't want it to be totally public at first.) SO. Um, this happened. Before I mention anything else, I do want to address a few things. Mainly the fact that announcing something like this so early on is often a bad idea, and that this might come off as sort of a "look at me, I'm in a relationship, feel good for me!" thing.
I do recognize both of those complaints as valid, but choose to ignore both of them. Obviously we want things to last, and in the event that they don't, I see no reason to keep it a secret just in case. And that's the other thing - we're probably going to be doing videos and streams together, so people were just going to find out anyway. I'm going to make a conscious effort to still make the majority of my stuff on my own though, since I know the constant co-commentator material didn't always go over super well with people before.
Oh, and if it wasn't clear, this is a long-distance, online relationship. We live quite far apart, and while it would be great for that to change, it's also literally been one week so far, so it's a bit early to make plans.
But yeah! I tend to get distracted by a lot of stuff when I need to be making new content, and welcome to my distraction for the last week. If I've seemed sort of weird or secretive on discord, now you know why.
Also this video was quite the undertaking. All the audio is stitched together from different SBEmails, and I animated everything (the text on the screen, the head bobbing around with the reflection, etc) in Premiere. It was kinda fun, if not also super tedious at times.
