Director's Commentary (SPOILERS)
I've been looking for a way to stay off the creative rut.
Something to help me feel more like a film student again. So within 3 week, before the submission for a local short filmmaking competition, I with the help of a few close friends, made this. The theme for competition was "uncharted".
And this was something that was establish, at least some of the main core and elements of the story, was written after a haze from recovering from food poisoning. It's about sleep deprivation. The End. (Ironically, I loss some sleep during the post production of this short.) At least that was the story I wanted to tell. I really hope i got some people who interpreted that way. It was inspired by the absurdity from some of the videos I've seen from Film Riot and Corridor Digital. What if you're so sleep deprived that it stopped you from thinking twice before taking care of an object that isn't yours.
A week after rushing it off for submission, finally out of the rush and daze, the loop holes and critiques starts pouring in even though i initial objective was to finish it. It was to make sure it was done even though it wasn't the best goddamn short you have ever seen. So many loop holes presented itself during the editing phase. But again, the time constraints during the production of this was so ever so present. This was the very best I could have done.
I really hope that this will be the start of many more films(hopefully), exploring the ideas of the mind and also something
