HOW TO TURN A £6,500 RACEHORSE INTO A GROUP 1 HORSE

HOW TO TURN A £6,500 RACEHORSE INTO A GROUP 1 HORSE North Tipperary, Ireland trainer Denis Hogan has a knack for unearthing cheap horses from tried thoroughbred sales and transforming them into winning machines.

Make A Challenge is no exception.

Bought for £6,500 from the Godolphin draft at the Goffs UK Autumn Sale in November 2017, this son of Invincible Spirit has won six races and £134,172 in prize money under the tutelage of Hogan.

His wins have come at Fairyhouse, Galway and The Curragh Racecourse, while his maiden Group 1 start yielded a creditable fifth in the Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes on Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse, England.

Doha, Qatar now beckons for this talented sprinter.
